Position: Test Automation Engineer

Location: Chennai - Hybrid/Onsite

Shift Timing: 3.00AM to 12.00PM PST (US Pacific Time)

Engagement Type: Full Time

About the role:

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to maintain the application automation suite, automate regression test scenarios, and execute automation runs aligned with quarterly releases. The role focuses on technical automation execution, result analysis, and defect reporting within an agreed application and tool scope.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation & Execution

Maintain and enhance the automation test suite for assigned applications
Develop and execute automated regression test cases
Execute automation runs for quarterly application releases
Manage test data sets within the automation tool’s scope
Analyze test execution results and publish test reports
Log and track defects using standard defect management tools

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with QA, functional, and development teams
Provide clear automation status, coverage, and defect metrics

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong hands -on experience in test automation frameworks and tools
Experience automating regression test suites
Knowledge of test data handling within automation tools
Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, ALM, etc.)
Good understanding of SDLC and QA best practices
