Role Description

We are currently looking for a skilled and imaginative Textile Designer, proficient in weaving techniques, to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for textiles, a keen eye for design, and the ability to create innovative and aesthetically pleasing patterns.

Responsibilities

Design Development:

• Create original textile designs for a range of products, considering factors such as color, pattern, and texture.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into design concepts.
• Collaborate with weavers to ensure designs are feasible for production.

Research:

• Conduct research on market trends, competitor products, and emerging materials to inform design decisions.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and techniques in textile design.

Prototype and Testing:

• Develop prototypes and samples for design testing and evaluation.
• Make adjustments to designs based on feedback and testing results.

Quality Assurance:

• Oversee the quality and consistency of textile designs during manufacturing.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3 years of experience hands-on experience in textile design and weaving, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of styles and techniques.

Skills:

• Strong artistic and creative abilities.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, pattern design, and textile techniques.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Technical Knowledge:

• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
• Knowledge of different textile materials and manufacturing processes.
