Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled TGT Music Teacher to join our school’s academic and cultural team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching music theory and practice, helping students explore vocal and instrumental music, and promoting a love for music through classes, performances, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct music lessons for Grades 1 to 10, including both vocal and instrumental training.
  

• Teach basic and advanced concepts of Indian and/or Western music.
  

• Prepare students for school functions, competitions, and stage performances.
  

• Develop and lead the school choir, band, and musical groups.
  

• Organize music events, assemblies, and cultural programs.
  

• Guide students in selecting and learning musical instruments.
  

• Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence through music.
  

• Maintain instruments and manage the music room and related resources.
  

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music (Indian Classical, Western, or both).
  

• Ability to teach music theory, notation, and practical skills.
  

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
  

• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching young learners.
  

• Ability to organize performances, choirs, and music-related activities.
  

• Knowledge of digital music tools and software is a plus.
  

Requirements

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent qualification (Visharad, Sangeet Prabhakar, etc.).
  

• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) preferred but not mandatory for highly skilled candidates.
  

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school environment.
  

• Experience with CBSE/ICSE school curriculum preferred.
