Trade Support Specialist [Asia Shift]

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Middle Office professional to support the operations of our hedge fund. This role involves managing the lifecycle of trades, ensuring accurate trade capture, affirmations, reconciling discrepancies, and enhancing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership of processes while building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships by delivering quality output with minimal errors. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with team leads to implement strategic initiatives and align goals with expectations set during one-on-one discussions. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of post-trade operations by managing trade capture, reconciliation, settlement, and compliance processes. The individual must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various systems and stakeholders to resolve
issues effectively.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate trade capture upon execution of key products including Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Equities, Commodities, Foreign Exchange, Futures, US Treasuries, Corporate bonds, and Mortgage securities.

• Reconciliation of trading affirmation/confirmation platforms.

• Research/resolve settlement breaks for both bilateral and cleared derivatives.

• Monitor trade queues and ensure compliance of regulatory rules.

• Monitor affirmation queues and ensure all trades are affirmed and reconciled on T0/T+1.

• Familiarity with new product onboarding and system implementation.

• Manage trade matching workflows using CTM to ensure timely and accurate affirmation of trades across asset classes, including equities, fixed income.

• Process and affirm trades for Interest Rate Derivatives (e.g., swaps, options, and forwards), Utilize trade affirmation platforms such Markitwire or other tools is added advantage.
   

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• 5+ years of experience within financial services, ideally within trade support.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a strong academic record; ideally a degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related.

• Shown success interacting cross-functionally, specifically with investment professionals and senior management.

• Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and lead time efficiently.

• Proficiency with Excel; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
