Trading Operations Associate

This role will be an active part of the Trading Operations team, providing day-to-day support while helping build and strengthen the team.

▪ Responsible for working with back-office applications that support the retail trading platform (GC HUB – proprietary platform; Meta – 3rd party platform) to ensure markets and master settings are properly administered across all instances. This will require close collaboration with Trading Operations, Risk, Release Management, Client Application Support, Compliance, Development, Product, Sales, and Client Management Team.

▪ Be an active member of the Trading Operations team, providing day-to-day support while assisting with building and strengthening the team.

▪ Responsible for the operational support of back-office applications.

▪ Manage trading markets within the back-office environment for internal and external users.

▪ Develop knowledge and understanding of back-office applications, specifically in relation to market creation, market maintenance, market margin requirements, and market settings.

▪ Work within Trading Operations to oversee, manage, and coordinate client trade settings within back-office applications.

• Monitoring the operations of the Retail Trading Platforms.
• Interacting with the ADMIN team and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Stay abreast of Market News, Market Trends and Corporate Actions.
• Stay informed with the prevailing regulatory framework.
• Monitor Best Execution services and critically analyze the Best Execution Reports.
• Design and perform reconciliations between two or more datasets, primarily related to trading product characteristics.
• Ability to spot abusive market trading behavior.
• Responsible for working with back-office application owners to ensure markets and master settings are properly administered across all trading platform instances. This will require close collaboration with Trading Operations, development, Release Management, and Business Continuity.
• Manage and map settings across back-office applications.
• Generating various reports from internal databases by coding SQL queries.
• Work within Trading Operations to oversee, manage, and coordinate client trade settings within back-office applications.
• Testing, adding, removing, and configuring Plugins and Gateways.

• Fluent in English.
• Relevant degree or equivalent training.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Flexibility to support US trading hour shifts.
• At least 3 years previous experience in similar roles.
• Experience in design and deployment of reconciliation as a control
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• A genuine interest in the financial markets.
• Be able to perform with confidence under pressure and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
