Trainer

Medical Coder Trainer – Job Description (JD)  

Qualification:

1. Certificate/Diploma in Medical Coding, Medical Records, Health Information Management, or Medical Documentation
   
2. Basic understanding of hospital workflows and EMR/EHR systems
   
3. Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes  
   

Preferred Qualification (Not Compulsory):

1. BMRS, HIM, B.Pharm, Paramedical Sciences
   
2. Diploma in Medical Coding & Billing
   
3. CPC, CCA, CCS, ICD-10-CM, CPT, or HCPCS certifications
   

Experience:

        

        1–2 years in hospital front office, medical records, patient registration,  billing, EMR/EHR systems, or diagnostic/lab centres

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions on medical coding concepts, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
   
2. Conduct practical demonstrations and assessments
   
3. Support learner progress and maintain training records 
   
4. Prepare students for placement & workplace readiness and get them hired 
   

Skills Required:

1. Good communication skills and presentation skills
   
2. Knowledge of healthcare documentation and hospital processes
   
3. Proficiency in MS Office and EMR/EHR systems
   
4. Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
