The Transformation Lead will drive digital and process transformation across manufacturing operations, acting as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role focuses on identifying operational inefficiencies, enabling system-led execution, and ensuring effective adoption of digital tools across assembly lines, quality, supply chain, and logistics functions.
The role requires strong manufacturing domain expertise, hands-on experience with enterprise systems, and the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable, technology-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership
Act as a strategic partner to manufacturing, quality, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain stakeholders.
Understand operational pain points and convert them into well-structured problem statements and system requirements.
Develop business cases for digitization initiatives, including ROI assessment and value realization.
Prioritize transformation initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and execution readiness.
Represent business requirements to IT / Information Systems teams and ensure accurate and timely implementation.
Digital & Technology Enablement
Champion the adoption of digital tools and platforms across manufacturing operations.
Identify opportunities for automation, system integration, and data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency and visibility.
Build working knowledge of enterprise tools used across functions and align them with operational requirements.
Support prioritization of technology initiatives by evaluating cost, benefits, and delivery timelines.
Process & Change Enablement
Analyze current-state processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Translate process improvements into functional requirements, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Participate in early-stage UATs and validate solutions from a business and operational perspective.
Drive user adoption through training, change communication, and post-implementation support.
Required Experience & Skills
Hands-on experience setting up or enhancing systems in a 2W / 4W manufacturing environment.
Strong end-to-end understanding of manufacturing value chains, including production, supply chain, logistics, and warehousing.
Proven ability to assess change requirements and support end-to-end system and process implementations.
Experience in business process design and improvement methodologies such as VSM, VSDiA, Lean, or similar frameworks.
Working knowledge of enterprise manufacturing systems, including:
ERP (SAP PP, QM, MM, WM)
MES
PLM
Procurement and supplier platforms
Strong analytical skills with experience in ROI evaluation and business value delivery.
Key Attributes
Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to influence without formal authority and operate effectively in cross-functional environments.
Self-driven, collaborative, and execution-focused mindset.
Education & Background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a quantitative discipline with 6–8 years of relevant experience.
MBA or equivalent from a reputed institution is preferred.
Exposure to Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives is desirable.
Practical shop-floor experience and demonstrated system adoption impact are preferred over certifications.
