Job Description - Transport Modeler

Description

Are you enthusiastic about how transportation, land use, socioeconomics, and technology intersect and its real-world impacts on people’s lives and communities? Do you have a passion to empower regional planning policies and decisions with state-of-the-art transportation planning tools? Are you ready to take on the challenge to deliver highly innovative transportation planning projects that will shape and inspire a sustainable, prosperous, and resilient future? If so, consider joining our innovative Planning team at WSP! for Canada Business. We are looking for a Junior or Intermediate Transportation Planner/Engineer/Data Scientist to join our team.

We focus on the development and application of travel demand models to support multi-modal transportation planning and policy projects. We specialize in advanced, activity-based demand modelling techniques to forecast regional population travel patterns and future transportation networks given proposed land uses, transportation infrastructure, and policies. Our proven record for developing industry-leading solutions include the Cities, Municipalities and Regional Travel Demand Model and its implementations. We are trusted advisors and close collaborators with municipal, regional, and provincial governments, transportation agencies, and academia.

We are also actively growing Transportation Planning practice that is rooted in our team’s strong data analytics and visualization capabilities.
