Job Description - Unit Incharge - Dialysis

  • Supervise and manage all dialysis staff including technicians and nurses.

  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of dialysis machines and equipment.

  • Monitor patient care and treatment quality in the dialysis unit.

  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.

  • Plan and organize dialysis schedules for patients efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate records of treatments, patient data, and staff attendance.

  • Train and mentor dialysis technicians and junior staff.

  • Handle procurement of dialysis consumables and manage inventory.

  • Liaise with nephrologists, nurses, and hospital management for operational planning.

  • Monitor and report incidents, complications, or technical issues promptly.

  • Implement quality improvement initiatives within the dialysis unit.

  • Ensure adherence to legal, medical, and safety regulations.



  • Requirements

  • Prior experience as a senior dialysis technician, supervisor, or unit coordinator preferred

  • Strong knowledge of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures

  • Leadership and team management skills to supervise staff effectively

  • Ability to manage operations, patient scheduling, and workflow efficiently

  • Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and hospital compliance standards

  • Strong problem -solving and decision -making skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, staff, and doctors

  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation, patient records, and reporting

  • Experience in inventory management and procurement of dialysis consumables

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and record -keeping

  • Ability to handle emergency situations and patient complications

  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and ethical medical practices
