Tech/B.E./B.Sc./MCA or equivalent).\n * Experience: \n3 to 7 years of experience as a Linux/Unix System Administrator in enterprise environments.\n * Core Linux Skills:\n * Strong understanding of Linux OS (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu, SUSE).\n * Ability to handle day-to-day administration tasks including user management, file systems, process management, performance tuning, and log analysis.\n * Experience with system hardening and security best practices.\n * Patching \u0026 Lifecycle Management:\n * Hands-on experience with Linux OS patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance (e.g., using tools like YUM/DNF, Spacewalk, Satellite, Landscape, or similar).\n * Awareness of security benchmarks (CIS, STIG) is desirable.\n * Automation \u0026 Scripting:\n * Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) is required.\n * Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible / Puppet / Chef is highly desirable.\n * Basic knowledge of Python scripting is a plus.\n * Cloud \u0026 Virtualization:\n * Basic working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and Linux workloads in cloud environments.\n * Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).\n * Containers \u0026 DevOps Exposure:\n * Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and basic understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift.\n * Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is an added advantage.\n * Monitoring \u0026 Observability:\n * Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.\n * Ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.\n * Troubleshooting \u0026 Incident Management:\n * Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve system outages, performance issues, and incidents within SLA.\n * Experience in handling production incidents and root cause analysis (RCA).\n * Installation \u0026 Upgrades:\n * Hands-on experience in Linux system installation, configuration, and upgrades.\n * UNIX Variants (Optional):\n * Knowledge of other UNIX flavors like AIX, Solaris, HP-UX is an added advantage.\n * ITSM \u0026 Process Compliance:\n * Well-versed with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Requests).\n * Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA Service Management.\n * Certifications:\n * RHCE / RHCSA / LFCS / Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred.\n * Soft Skills:\n * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n * Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.\n * Quick learner with adaptability to new tools and technologies.\n * Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and customer-focused approach.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nYears of Experience:\n\n * 3 to 7 Years\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nWork Timings:\n\n * Willingness to work in rotational shifts with a 24x7 support model, including on-call support.\n\n\n\n_____________________________________________________________________________________\n\n_____________________________________________________________________________________\n\nJob Description:\n\n * Educational qualifications \u2013 Must be a graduate.\n * Should have 3 to 7 years of experience as a Linux/Unix System Administrator.\n * Should have a deep level of understanding of Linux OS \u0026 should be able to handle day to day Admin tasks.\n * Should be good with Linux OS patching.\n * Knowledge in shell scripting would be preferred.\n * Should have good troubleshooting skills to fix system down issues.\n * Experience on Linux System installation / upgrade is desirable.\n * Knowledge on other UNIX flavors like Solaris/AIX/HP-UX would be an added advantage.\n * Should be well versed with ITIL.\n * RHCE certified would be preferred.\n * Should have excellent written \u0026 oral communication skills.\n * Must be keen to learn new development methods and technologies and be a fast learner.\n * Be enthusiastic about work and be a good team player.\n * Maintain the positive attitude, be honest and sincere in work.\n\n\n\nYears of Experience:\n\n * 3 to 7 Years.\n\n\n\nWork Timings:\n\n * Should be willing to work in rotational shift with 24x7 support window.\n\n\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
