Consultant Ophthalmologist

Qualification

• MS Ophthalmology

• DNB Ophthalmology

Registration

• Valid MMC / State Medical Council Registration

Experience

• Experienced candidates preferred

• Candidates should be capable of independently managing comprehensive ophthalmology services

---

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Eye OPD consultations

• Diagnose and treat common ophthalmic disorders

• Perform cataract surgeries (Phaco/SICS) as per expertise

• Manage glaucoma, corneal, retinal, and anterior segment cases

• Handle ophthalmic emergencies and trauma cases

• Perform pre-operative evaluation and post-operative follow-up

• Interpret diagnostic investigations including OCT, Fundus Evaluation, Visual Field, and B-Scan as required

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure quality patient care

• Coordinate with OT staff and multidisciplinary teams

• Strong clinical and surgical skills in Ophthalmology

• Excellent diagnostic and decision-making abilities

• Good communication and patient counselling skills

• Professional, ethical, and patient-centric approach

• Ability to work independently in a hospital setup
