Fire & Safety Officer

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Fire Engineering / Fire & Safety Engineering / Fire Technology

OR

• Bachelor's Degree with Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering

Required Certifications

• Fire & Safety Certification from a recognized institute

• Disaster Management Training (Preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 7+ Years of Experience in Fire & Safety Management

• Experience in Hospitals / Healthcare Facilities preferred

• Fire Prevention & Protection Systems

• Fire Detection & Alarm Systems

• Fire Hydrant & Sprinkler Systems

• Fire Extinguishers & Smoke Detection Systems

• Emergency Evacuation & Disaster Management

• Electrical, Chemical & Gas Safety

• Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)

• Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)

• NABH Standards, NBC, Fire Safety Rules & Statutory Compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all fire safety laws and statutory regulations

• Develop and implement the Hospital Fire Safety Management Program

• Conduct fire risk assessments and hazard identification

• Monitor and maintain firefighting equipment and fire protection systems

• Organize fire drills and emergency evacuation drills

• Train hospital staff on fire safety and emergency response

• Prepare and update Fire Emergency Response Plans

• Coordinate with Fire Brigade and statutory authorities

• Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and compliance reporting

• Ensure Fire NOC renewals and regulatory compliance

• Support NABH accreditation activities related to fire and life safety

• Promote a strong culture of safety across the hospital
