Urgent Hiring - Instructional Designer Higher Education & AI-Enabled Learning

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instructional Designer to support the end-to-end development of innovative, learner-centric courses. The role requires demonstrated experience working with U.S.-based universities and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), with responsibility for transforming academic and professional expertise into clear, engaging and application-oriented learning experiences for learners.
The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned course development projects from initial design through implementation and evaluation, while collaborating with faculty, SMEs, LMS and QA teams, multimedia specialists.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop complete courses from concept through delivery. Create learner-centred course structures, activities, assessments, eLearning, instructor-led and microlearning content.


• Collaborate with U.S.-based faculty and SMEs to transform academic content into clear, engaging learning materials.


• Develop slide decks, handouts, videos, infographics, simulations, and formative/summative assessments.


• Support course launches and ensure LMS platforms and learning tools function effectively.


• Conduct quality reviews for accuracy, consistency, instructional alignment, and overall learner experience.


• Manage timelines, milestones, multiple projects, and stakeholder communication effectively. Collaborate with LMS, QA, multimedia, and other cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES


• Required: Prior professional experience working with U.S.-based universities and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Demonstrated experience in instructional design and higher-education course development.
• Experience managing end-to-end course creation from instructional planning and content development through delivery and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of learner-centered instructional design and engaging learning experiences that support knowledge retention and workplace application.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with academic SMEs, faculty, clients and cross-functional teams.
• Strong creativity, adaptability, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to accuracy, originality, plagiarism-free content and responsible AI practices.

• Familiarity with Blackboard LMS    • Familiarity with Asana for project/task management
