Role Summary

A reputed plywood manufacturing company in Barasat, Kolkata, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Factory HR professional to oversee and manage the complete human resource function at the manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in factory operations and industrial human resource management. Candidates must have prior work experience in the plywood manufacturing industry, as applicants from other industries will not be considered.

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling employee relations, recruitment, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, workforce management, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives while ensuring smooth factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete HR function for the manufacturing facility.
  
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, induction, and employee retention activities.
  
• Maintain employee records, attendance, leave management, and documentation.
  
• Oversee workforce planning and manpower allocation.
  
• Coordinate payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
  
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, factory regulations, and statutory requirements.
  
• Handle employee grievances and maintain healthy industrial relations.
  
• Coordinate performance management and employee development programmes.
  
• Conduct employee engagement activities and training programmes.
  
• Prepare HR reports, MIS reports, and workforce analytics.
  
• Work closely with department heads to ensure smooth plant operations.
  
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  
• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be preferred.
  
• Female candidates will be preferred as per the current requirement.
  

Experience Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in Factory HR operations.
  
• Previous or current experience in a plywood manufacturing company is mandatory.
  
• Candidates from other industries will not be considered.
  
• Strong knowledge of labour laws, industrial relations, statutory compliance, payroll management, and workforce administration.
