US Accountant

Job Title: US Accountant
Experience: 2-6 Years
Level: Sr Consultant / Asst Manager
Location: Work from Home
Office Timing: 16:00 to 01:00 hrs IST (Monday to Friday)
Role Objective
The accountant delivers accurate, timely full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for US small-business clients in full compliance with US GAAP. Working within established quality standards, the role maintains clean books, performs reconciliations, and prepares review-ready financial statements, keeping error and rework rates low.
Key Responsibilities
• Full-cycle accounting: Maintain general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
under US GAAP, including AP/AR processing.
• Reconciliations: Prepare and review bank, credit card, and balance-sheet reconciliations,
resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Close & reporting: Execute month-end close and prepare financial statements (P&L, balance
sheet, cash flow) for review.
• Documentation & compliance: Maintain well-supported working papers, apply correct US
GAAP treatment, and escalate complex items to QA.
• Client & feedback: Communicate with US clients on routine queries in US business English and
incorporate reviewer feedback per established SOPs.
Core Skills & Expertise (Must Have)

• Full-cycle US GAAP accounting & bookkeeping — Hands-on ability to maintain books end-to-
end and prepare financial statements compliant with US GAAP for US clients.

• Accounting software proficiency — Practical, day-to-day command of QuickBooks Online,
Zoho Books or Xero, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Accuracy, reconciliation rigor & client communication — Strong attention to detail and
reconciliation discipline, paired with clear written and verbal communication in US business
English.
Additional Skills & Expertise (Good to Have)
• Generative AI & process efficiency — Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and a mindset
for improving turnaround and accuracy.
• Experience in an outsourcing / offshore or multi-client delivery environment is an advantage.
Qualifications
• CA (India) Inter (IPCC) or Master's in Commerce / Accounting (M.Com).
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce as a baseline.
