Job Description - US Mortgage Underwriter L2

Job Title: Mortgage Underwriter / Live Underwriter – L2

Location: CSEZ Infopark, Kochi

Experience: 1 – 3 Years in Mortgage underwriting

Salary: ₹4 LPA – ₹6 LPA

Shift: Rotational Shift (Mostly Night Shift)

Work Mode: Work from Office

Qualification: Any UG Degree (Mandatory)

Date of Joining: 1st June

Job Role: We are hiring experienced Mortgage Underwriters / Live Underwriters for the L2 role. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing mortgage documents, analyzing borrower eligibility, following investor guidelines, and ensuring accurate mortgage processing within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze mortgage documents as per client and investor guidelines
Perform underwriting activities and complete process steps accurately
Verify and evaluate the 4Cs of Underwriting: Credit, Capacity, Capital, and Collateral
Calculate income, liabilities, ratios, and other mortgage -related calculations
Update and maintain records in LOS (Loan Origination System)
Identify missing/incomplete documents and coordinate with clients for additional requirements
Ensure productivity and quality targets are consistently achieved
Adhere to operational schedules and compliance requirements
Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives
Work closely with support teams for seamless mortgage review processes

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in US Mortgage / Underwriting / Live Underwriting
Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and underwriting guidelines
Good knowledge of mortgage calculations and financial analysis
Familiarity with investor guidelines and client overlays
Excellent English communication skills
Strong analytical and problem -solving abilities
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Windows Operating System
Ability to work in rotational/night shifts

Additional Information

Immediate joiners preferred.
Salary will be based on experience, current CTC, and supporting documents.
