Job Purpose

Preparation and execution of a broad range of accounting assignments in the field of (pension and HR) accounting:

• Prepare and analyze consolidated pension reporting


• Review share-based payment accounting as prepared by the RAC


• Monitor consolidated accounting for corporate short-term incentive programs and for the Dutch payroll


• Review finance income and expense on consolidated level

Key Activities

Key Responsibilities -

Pensions

• Monthly pension accounting in cooperation with the Pension Controller of Pensions department.


• Liaise with actuary WTW on AkzoNobel requirements for completion of the FAStrack database (with all actuarial report data) and upload into HFM


• Completion of figures for annual pension disclosure notes

HR

• Assess accounting consequences and treatments of developments for AN HR NL


• Review share-based payment journals as prepared by RAC


• Monitor consolidated accounting for corporate short-term incentive programs and for the Dutch payroll


• Participation on departmental accounting and improvement projects

Interest and other responsibilities

• Review finance income and expense on consolidated level


• Liaise with Treasury accountant and internally on top over insurance adjustment

Experience

Job Requirement - 

• This job requires an experienced accountant (4-6 years) with expertise in the area of IFRS.


• A solid financial background is necessary in order to be able to monitor and handle complex pension and other HR accounting issues


• Good communication skills are also required for many contacts with staff at all levels of accounting, pension, HR and other corporate departments.


• The Code of Insider Trading is applicable to this job. The job requires observing high ethical standards.


• Perform accounting on University level by education or experience


• Extensive experience in accounting and reporting


• Well informed on IFRS standards


• Knowledge of Oracle/HFM is an advantage


• Flexible hands-on self-starter/problem solver


• Committed to deliver high quality output


• Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
