Vertex Consultant

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced IT consultant to support Vertex-related initiatives across indirect tax applications, integrations, testing, operational support, and project delivery. The ideal candidate should have a profile similar to Srinivas Patnaik, with strong application services experience and hands-on knowledge of Vertex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Vertex application initiatives, enhancements, and operational activities across on-prem and cloud environments.


• Collaborate with IT, Tax, ERP, infrastructure, and support teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver project milestones.


• Assist with integrations involving SAP, Ariba, CFN, Transact, Transcend, Osprey, and other connected platforms.


• Participate in testing, defect resolution, documentation, and production readiness activities.


• Help maintain reliable tax determination processes and support business continuity for critical tax applications.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Vertex O Series, Vertex integrations, or similar indirect tax technology platforms.


• Strong understanding of enterprise application support, incident management, and release activities.


• Ability to work across technical and business teams in a complex global environment.


• Hands-on mindset with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and follow-through skills.


• Experience with SAP-integrated tax processes is preferred.
