Vice President - Merchant Banking

About the Opportunity
A fast-scaling fintech innovator in India’s merchant banking and digital capital markets space, we empower SMEs, startups, and mid-market enterprises with tailored debt, equity, and hybrid capital solutions. Our team works at the intersection of finance, technology, and growth strategy—structuring deals, managing investor relationships, and driving capital deployment that unlocks scalable business value across sectors including SaaS, logistics, fintech, and consumer brands. Role & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end merchant banking engagements: originate, structure, negotiate, and close debt/equity deals for high-growth Indian businesses.


• Build and manage relationships with institutional investors, HNIs, family offices, and private credit funds to expand our capital partners network.


• Develop pitch decks, financial models, and investment memorandums that clearly articulate risk-return profiles and exit strategies for target sectors.


• Supervise due diligence processes including legal, financial, and operational assessments across sectors and stages (pre-seed to Series C).


• Collaborate with internal credit and legal teams to develop term sheets, covenants, and closing documentation aligned with investor mandates.


• Drive thought leadership and market positioning by speaking at industry forums, publishing sector insights, and mentoring junior deal teams.
