Position Details:

As a part of Risk & Compliance Technology, the SAS Technical Lead will support Advanced Analytics and AML Transactions Monitoring platforms on SAS Viya, SAS Grid and related technologies.

The Technical Lead should have experience of leading teams in both technical and managerial aspects and should have experience of working in Global Teams. This is a hands-on technical role which requires expertise in SAS VIYA 4.0 Admin, AML on SAS VIYA 4.0, SAS 9.4M8, Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Shell Scripts, SAS scripts, Autosys, Oracle and SQL.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 80% hands-on development/administration and 20% people management

• Responsible for creating Functional and Detailed Design documents, Software Configuration Plans and Unit Test Plans.

• Responsible for extraction, transformation and load of data using SQL Loader and SAS Base code and SAS VIYA through various hops of SAS AML Platform. Good understanding of Oracle and Postgres Database; well versed in SQL.

• Responsible for administering and maintaining Production and Non-Production environments for SAS VIYA 4.0, SAS GRID 9.4M8 and SAS AML

• Work on SAS VIYA technology based on Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS and SAS Cloud Analytic Services (CAS), apply hotfix and patches.

• Create SAS Dataflux workflows and Data Flows in VIYA using SAS Quality Knowledge Base.

• Implement Entity Resolution using SAS DQ/DataFlux and/or VIYA Dataflow.

• Experience implementing, programming, and administering SAS GRID, SAS AML, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Visual Analytics, and SAS VIYA.

• Customize SAS Alert Generation Process modules to meet specific business requirements.

• Creation of SAS Prep Data for custom scenarios and enhancements to existing scenarios in SAS.

• Create Visual Analytics and SOLR reports for data analysis. Also responsible for ad-hoc data analysis reports to support production issues.

• Create UNIX shell scripts to call SAS jobs from scheduling tools like Autosys. Create scripts to handle calls between SAS modules.

• Analysis, preparation and updating technical documentation within the project team following prescribed Bank technical policy and procedures.

• Identification and escalation of risks, issues, and blockers

• Collaboration with business analysts and Business partners to understand requirements, review designs, conduct testing and demonstrate products.

• Proactive communication of compliance application changes to Information Technology Americas (ITA) and business stakeholders

• Mentoring and coaching team members and participating in all aspects of SAS VIYA and SAS GRID architecture, design, development and testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or information systems or computer science or related required

• 10+ years of experience in software development in cross functional teams and leading/guiding teams working in onshore/offshore model

• 10+ years of experience implementing technology solutions at banks or financial institutions.

• 3+ years of experience in OpenShift platform with Kubernetes, AWS Technologies.

• 5+ years of experience writing Unix shell scripts

• Experience with new server implementations and Commvault

• Experience using Visual Analytics, SOLR or other analytic reporting platforms.

• Experience with JBoss, tomcat or similar web app servers.

• Eperience in developing applications using J2EE tech stack including Angular and Micro Services

• Experience with Autosys and other Job Scheduler

• Experience with web services such as REST, SOAP and WSDL

• Well organized and demonstrates strong technical proficiency in system analysis and application design.

• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Well organized and able to simultaneously manage several disparate tasks over varying timescales.

• Self-motivated, and able to troubleshoot issues independently.

• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies

• In-depth knowledge of Compliance Risks and Risk Management, including Anti-Money Laundering.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience writing FDDs and DDDs.

• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience implementing and administering SAS AML, 1+ years of experience working on SAS VIYA

• 3+ years of experience implementing and administering SAS Enterprise Miner, APM, and SAS Management Console

• 3+ years of experience writing complex queries in SAS.

• Experience on SAS Grid 9.4 M6/M7/M8 to SAS Viya 4.0 migration is a plus

• Experience with data extraction, transformation and load using SAS Base code, SAS VIYA, CAS and SQL Loader

• Experience performing Quality Knowledge Base workflows and Entity Resolution using SAS DataFlux and SAS VIYA Dataflow

• Experience customizing SAS Alert Generation Process modules.
