Video Editor and Media Production Associate

We’re looking for a talented full time video editor who can take footage from projects that have been recorded and turn it into media that engages, informs, and inspires. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of a robust video editing software such as Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro. The ideal candidate needs experience collaborating with teams, a familiarity with video composition, and experience making revisions based on feedback. Individuals who are successful in this position will have an in-depth understanding of video production, follows industry trends and updates, is willing to be creative, and uses that to complete assigned projects in a timely manner. This position will need to provide service that exceeds expectations and is willing to be part of a dynamic team. Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize assigned media assets using software such as DropBox, Google Drive, or similar.


• Edit assigned assets using video editing software [Avid, etc.] or audio editing software [Adobe Audition or similar] depending on the project.


• Add sound design and synchronized music to projects that compliment the product.


• Design animated elements and assets for projects using software like Blender, Adobe After Effects, or similar.


• Conform completed projects to the job description and that engages, informs, and inspires while remaining on brand.


• Edit and revise projects based on feedback from project managers and stakeholders.
  

Responsibilities

• Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of projects that will include internal and external facing videos


• Translate strategic company direction into high-quality videos within an established brand identity


• Searching asset libraries to find files that enhance assigned projects


• Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current market trends when editing to provide products that remain on-brand while being adapted for contemporary audiences

Qualifications:

• Exceptional creativity and innovation


• 3+ years experience with video editing software, including Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro


• A working knowledge of basic video editing on a timeline


• A working knowledge of advanced video editing techniques such as color correction, color grading, sound design, and dynamic caption design


• Experience with remote file transfer


• Experience with brand development 


• Experience with other software technologies, including Google Suite, Asana or other task management software


• A diverse portfolio of completed projects that highlight a range of editing skills

Skills Needed:

• Proficient video editing (overall composition, narrative flow, transitions, color correction, color grading, masking, and other associated editing skills)


• Proficient audio editing (appropriate sound design in video projects, matching music to the style and mood of the video, synchronization of music to compliment the video, adding sound effects where appropriate)


• Proficient animation skills using Blender, Adobe After Effects, Fusion, or similar


• Story composition so that products have a coherent flow to clearly communicate the message of the video


• Excellent communication and presentation skills


• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines


• Desire and ability to continue learning and growing with professional development opportunities
