Video Editor & Videographer

JOB SUMMARY 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate video editor & videographer to join our team at Burda India. You will be responsible for end-to-end editing & videography of scripted and unscripted videos and formats across our media brands Lifestyle Asia, Architecture & Design, and Travel & Leisure. Thereby, you will be closely working with our teams in India. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• End-to-End Videography: Capture, direct, and produce high-quality videos from start to finish, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production. 

• Scripted & Unscripted Formats: Work on a variety of content types, from scripted interviews and features to spontaneous, unscripted lifestyle videos and event coverage. 

• Collaborate with Teams: Partner with editorial, creative, and production teams to develop creative concepts and video treatments. 

• Visual Storytelling: Translate brand stories and messages into visually compelling and engaging video content. 

• Content Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage, ensuring all videos meet high editorial and technical standards. 

• Brand Alignment: Ensure all video content aligns with the respective tone, voice, and vision of Lifestyle Asia, Architecture & Design, and Travel & Leisure. 

• Video Editing: Edit high quality videos meeting the expectations of producers, directors, clients, and other stakeholders. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• 2+ years of experience in videography and digital content creation. 

• Proficient in digital cameras and camera techniques, including camera movements for dynamic shots. 

• Experience in Davinci Resolve a plus editing, colour grading, and basic sound mixing. 

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects for editing and post-production. 

• Solid understanding of lighting techniques, image types, resolutions, and frame rates for optimal video quality. 

• Adaptable to changing timelines and requirements, with the ability to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Passionate about videography, with a strong desire to continually learn and develop technical skills. 

• Experience with GFX/VFX, creating visual effects that enhance storytelling and production value. 

• Knowledgeable in all stages of production: Pre-production, production, and post-production, ensuring seamless workflows. 

• Familiar with social media and digital video platforms, understanding the nuances of content formats for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. 

• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring efficient video workflows and high-quality results. 

• Prior experience in shooting and directing, with an understanding of how to guide a project from concept to execution. 

• Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a creative team.
