The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related virtualization technologies, along with exposure to cloud and data center infrastructure. \nThis role involves managing complex virtualization environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and contributing to infrastructure modernization initiatives. \n________________________________________ \nKey Responsibilities \nVirtualization Infrastructure Management \n\u2022 Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter Server). \n\u2022 Administer and maintain clusters, resource pools, HA, DRS, and vMotion. \n\u2022 Manage VM provisioning, templates, snapshots, and lifecycle management. \n\u2022 Perform host upgrades, patching, and firmware updates. \nHigh Availability \u0026 Disaster Recovery \n\u2022 Configure and manage VMware HA, DRS, FT. \n\u2022 Implement and manage Site Recovery Manager (SRM) (if applicable). \n\u2022 Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. \nStorage \u0026 Networking \n\u2022 Configure and manage VMFS, NFS, vSAN (preferred). \n\u2022 Work with SAN/NAS storage environments. \n\u2022 Configure virtual networking (vDS, VLANs, NSX \u2013 preferred). \n\u2022 Collaborate with network and storage teams for performance optimization. \nPerformance \u0026 Capacity Management \n\u2022 Monitor system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks. \n\u2022 Perform capacity planning and resource optimization. \n\u2022 Maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes. \nSecurity \u0026 Compliance \n\u2022 Implement VMware security best practices. \n\u2022 Manage RBAC, hardening guidelines, and patch management. \n\u2022 Support audit and compliance requirements. \nAutomation \u0026 Modernization \n\u2022 Experience with PowerCLI scripting for automation. \n\u2022 Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible \u2013 preferred). \n\u2022 Support hybrid cloud integration (VMware Cloud, Azure/AWS). \n\u2022 Knowledge of container platforms (Tanzu, Kubernetes \u2013 preferred). \nSupport \u0026 Troubleshooting \n\u2022 Provide L2/L3 support for virtualization issues. \n\u2022 Perform root cause analysis and incident resolution. \n\u2022 Participate in on-call rotation (if applicable). \n________________________________________ \nRequired Skills \u0026 Experience \n\u2022 5\u201310+ years of experience in VMware administration. \n\u2022 Strong hands-on experience with: \no VMware vSphere (6.x / 7.x / 8.x) \no ESXi host management \no vCenter Server \no HA, DRS, vMotion \n\u2022 Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS, vSAN preferred). \n\u2022 Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs). \n\u2022 Experience in patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management. \n\u2022 Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. \n\u2022 Experience with Windows/Linux VM environments. \n________________________________________ \nPreferred Skills \n\u2022 VMware certifications (VCP-DCV / VCAP preferred). \n\u2022 Experience with VMware NSX. \n\u2022 Experience with VMware SRM. \n\u2022 Cloud exposure (Azure VMware Solution / VMware on AWS). \n\u2022 Automation using PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform. \n\u2022 Knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.). \n\u2022 Experience with monitoring tools (vRealize Operations, etc.).\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
