Immediate opportunities exist in QUALCOMM\u0027s Multimedia Audio Systems Group to work in the area of Voice AI.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nThe candidate will be expected to work with a team of engineers to prototype and productize Voice AI Models such as ASR, TTS, NLP, Multilingual Translation, Summarization, Language modeling and other Speech/text generation tasks.\n\nDevelop, Train, and Optimize Vocie AI models for efficient offload to NPU, GPU and CPU Perform Model evaluation study and Competitive analysis with mutiple open source model variants, work on different model architectures Work closely with other R\u0026D and Systems team for system integration, use case validation, efficient offload to HW accelerators and commercialization support\n\nRequirements:\n\nStrong programming skills in C/C++, Python\n\nExperience working on ML inference optimizations\n\nProficiency in designing, implementing and training DL models in any high-level languages/frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX)\n\nKnowledge of ML architectures and operators such as Transformers, LSTM, GRUs..\n\nFamiliarity with recent trends in machine learning (diffusion models, U-Nets, Transformer, BERT, BART, etc.) and traditional statistical modeling/feature extraction techniques\n\nExperience working on Speech-to-text, Text-to-Speech, Speech-to-Speech, NLP applications in academics or industry\n\nKnowledge of Model quantization and compression techniques\n\nExpertise in developing and debugging software on embedded platforms\n\nKnowledge of software design patterns and multi-threaded programming, Eg POSIX or PTHREADS\n\nKnowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and basic algorithms\n\nKnowledge of fixed point coding\n\nExperience working on any AI HW accelerator NPU or GPU is a plus\n\n\u2022 All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.\n\n\u2022 Proven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment\n\n\u2022 Self-starter who likes to be challenged and solve tough complex problems\n\n\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.\n\n\u2022 Quick learner, self-motivated, able to work independently and a Team player.\n\n\u2022 Aspiration for excellence.\n\n\u2022 Working in cross disciplinary, geographically-dispersed teams\n\nEducational Qualification:\n\nBachelor\u0027s/Master\u2019s/PhD degree in Engineering, Electronics and communication, Computer Science or related filed.\n\n2+ years of Audio Systems engineering or Audio Signal Processing modules or ML Model development or related work experience.\n\nKeywords: Audio Processing, ASR, TTS, LLMs, Hugging face\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. \n \n\u2022 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
