Role Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to set up, stabilize, and scale a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse operation. This role is ideal for a hands-on operations leader with experience running mid-scale e-commerce warehouses and building robust systems while driving day-to-day execution.
You will own inventory accuracy, picking and packing efficiency, manpower productivity, layout optimization, and SOP discipline—while preparing the warehouse for rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations & Execution
Own end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
Ensure same-day dispatch SLAs for D2C and marketplace orders.
Minimize order errors, RTO leakage, and packing defects.
Manage volume spikes during sales events, product drops, and launches.
2. Inventory Management & Accuracy Control
Maintain ≥99% inventory accuracy across physical stock and system records.
Implement and enforce bin-level inventory discipline.
Lead daily cycle counts, weekly audits, and monthly physical stock counts.
Proactively identify ageing inventory, dead stock, and variances.
3. Layout, Systems & Process Excellence
Design and continuously optimize warehouse layouts for fast and slow movers.
Develop, document, and enforce SOPs for:
GRN and inward quality checks
Putaway and storage logic
Picking methodologies (batch, wave, zone-based)
Packing, quality control, and dispatch
Returns and refurbishment processes
Drive adoption of WMS and e-commerce platform workflows (e.g., order and inventory integrations).
4. Team & Manpower Management
Lead warehouse supervisors, pickers, packers, and QC teams.
Define and track productivity benchmarks (orders/hour, lines/hour).
Plan shifts, rosters, and peak staffing requirements.
Train teams on accuracy, process compliance, safety, and hygiene standards.
5. Cost, Productivity & Continuous Improvement
Improve cost per order shipped through efficiency and process improvements.
Reduce damages, shrinkage, and rework.
Implement Kaizen initiatives, light automation, and layout enhancements.
Track daily KPIs and review performance regularly with leadership.
6. Compliance, Safety & Hygiene
Ensure adherence to safety norms, fire compliance, and material handling standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment at all times.
