Accountabilities:
- Create visually engaging webcomics by transforming scripts and story concepts into structured comic panels and sequences.
- Design layouts that support clear storytelling flow, emotional expression, and reader engagement.
- Use tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Krita, or similar software to produce high-quality digital artwork.
- Apply core design principles including composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and creative teams to develop consistent visual narratives and character styles.
- Ensure continuity and consistency in character design, backgrounds, and overall visual identity across episodes.
- Leverage AI-powered creative tools to enhance design efficiency and support content production workflows.
- Deliver projects within deadlines while maintaining high creative and technical quality standards.
- Continuously explore new storytelling techniques, visual trends, and digital illustration methods.
Requirements:
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, Krita, or similar digital illustration and design tools.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, including panel composition, pacing, and emotional expression.
- Good grasp of design fundamentals such as layout, color balance, and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to convert written scripts into engaging and coherent visual narratives.
- Interest in using AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Gemini, Flow, or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistency and quality.
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a remote work setup.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a digital environment.
- Passion for comics, manga, webtoons, anime, or storytelling-based visual media is highly desirable.
- Access to a personal laptop is required; a drawing tablet is a strong advantage.
