Workday HCM Technical Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Workday HCM Technical Consultant with 8–10 years of experience in Workday, strong hands-on expertise in HCM, and exposure to Workday implementation projects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Workday HCM technical capabilities, integrations, configuration, reporting, and implementation lifecycle. Candidates with a combination of technical expertise and HCM domain understanding will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Work on Workday HCM implementation, configuration, and enhancement projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday technical solutions.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Web Services.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with Workday HCM business processes and technical configurations.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop and maintain Workday reports and calculated fields.

  
  


• 
  

  Support data migration, integration testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Workday integrations and HCM processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with functional consultants, HR/business stakeholders, and implementation teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and deployment.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide technical support for enhancements and post-implementation activities.

  
  

Required Skills

• 
  

  8–10 years of Workday experience with strong HCM exposure.

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on experience with Workday HCM.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong experience in Workday HCM technical implementation.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, XML/XSLT, and Workday integration concepts.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Workday Reports and Calculated Fields.

  
  


• 
  

  Good understanding of Workday HCM business processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  
  

Preferred Experience

  Experience working on end-to-end Workday HCM implementation projects.

  Experience working with global clients and multiple locations/currencies.

  Exposure to HR processes such as employee lifecycle, compensation, benefits, payroll, and statutory requirements.

  Ability to work closely with both functional and technical implementation teams.
