Workday Project Manager HCM / Reporting & Analytics

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Project Manager to lead Workday implementation, enhancement, and support initiatives across HCM, Reporting, Analytics, and Payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong project delivery, stakeholder management, and Workday ecosystem experience, preferably within healthcare or regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Workday implementation, enhancement, and support projects.


• Manage scope, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, budgets, and deliverables.


• Coordinate cross-functional Workday teams across HCM, Payroll, Reporting, Analytics, Integrations, and Security.


• Oversee initiatives involving Advanced/Composite Reports, Dashboards, Worksheets, Scorecards, Discovery Boards, Calculated Fields, and Prism Analytics.


• Coordinate Payroll-related projects including reconciliation, audits, retro pay, overtime, tax, and compliance reporting.


• Drive Workday semi-annual release planning, testing, and deployment.


• Maintain project governance, status reporting, RAID logs, documentation, and executive updates.


• Work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, technical teams, and senior leadership to ensure successful delivery.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Project Management experience with significant Workday project/program experience.


• Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Absence, and Time Tracking.  


• Experience with Workday Reporting, Discovery Boards, Prism Analytics, Workforce Analytics, and KPI/Executive Dashboards.


• Experience managing both Workday implementations and managed-services/support engagements.


• Strong stakeholder, risk, dependency, and delivery management skills.


• Experience supporting Workday semi-annual releases.


• Hands-on Workday project experience rather than purely managerial responsibilities.

Preferred

• Healthcare / regulated industry experience, preferably Academic Medical Centers.


• Knowledge of HIPAA, workforce planning, Position Management, and FTE reporting.


• Exposure to union workforce environments.


• Relevant Workday and/or PMP certifications.
