What You Can Expect

1. Technical Facilities & Lab Infrastructure

Critical Building & Utility Systems

  • Own operations and maintenance of HVAC (precision & comfort cooling), electrical systems, DG sets, UPS, LT/HT panels, chillers, AHUs, CRAC units, and BMS.
  • Ensure high uptime and redundancy for critical systems supporting labs and compute environments.
  • Implement robust Preventive & Predictive Maintenance programs aligned to OEM and lab-critical requirements.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment or environmental failures impacting lab operations.
  • Maintain SOPs for all critical infrastructure and lab systems.
  • Conduct risk assessment for Electro-mechanical equipment’s.

R&D Lab Infrastructure Management

  • Manage semiconductor R&D labs operations
  • Precision HVAC & environmental controls (temperature, humidity, air quality)
  • Compressed dry air systems of Class-0 standards
  • Support installation, relocation, and decommissioning of lab equipment and tools.
  • Ensure continuous power and cooling for labs and test environments.
  • Coordinate load calculations, redundancy planning, and capacity expansion for future R&D growth.
  • Conduct Lab audits, track observations for closure.
  • Manage hazardous/E-waste material handling, storage, and disposal through certified vendors.

2. Office Operations & Administration

  • Manage daily office operational requirements to ensure smooth functioning
  • Oversee stationery procurement, inventory control, and distribution.
  • Ensure availability of office supplies, pantry items, and consumables.
  • Prepare and send employee communications on facility operational needs.
  • Create and manage facilities Standard operating procedures.
  • Manage and track facilities tickets within SLA’s for all Facilities management services and monthly/Quarterly reporting.

3. Space Management

  • Manage, allocate, and track workspace utilization including seating, cabins, and shared areas
  • Maintain updated seating plans and occupancy data
  • Coordinate with Facilities / Workplace teams on space changes, churn, and reconfigurations
  • Support onboarding and internal moves from a space readiness perspective

4. Employee Experience

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee workplace-related queries and concerns
  • Ensure consistent delivery of workplace services aligned with company standards
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and return-to-office programs
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve employee comfort and engagement

5. Event Management & Support

  • Plan and coordinate internal events such as townhalls, leadership visits, celebrations, and employee engagement activities
  • Manage logistics including venue setup, seating, AV, catering, and vendor coordination
  • Ensure events are delivered within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct Festival themed food arrangements throughput the year.

6. Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with HR, IT, Security, Finance, and Business teams to ensure seamless office operations
  • Coordinate with leadership and functional heads on workplace requirements
  • Communicate operational updates and service-related information to employees

7. Transport Management

  • Coordinate employee transport services including cabs, parking, and shuttle arrangements
  • Act as point of contact for transport-related queries and issue resolution
  • Track utilization and support implementation of company transport policies
  • Coordinate with transport vendors to ensure safety, compliance, and service quality

8. Budget Tracking & Ownership

  • Track office operating expenses and service costs
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
  • Validate vendor invoices and support timely payments
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization without impacting service quality.
  • Manage yearly allocated budget for operations.

9. Janitorial Services

  • Oversee housekeeping and janitorial services across office premises
  • Ensure cleanliness standards are met in work areas, washrooms, cafeteria, and common spaces
  • Monitor service quality, staffing, and consumable usage
  • Conduct regular inspections and drive corrective actions

10. Food & Beverages Management

  • Manage day-to-day cafeteria and pantry operations
  • Coordinate with F&B vendors to ensure quality, hygiene, and menu compliance
  • Monitor food safety standards and employee feedback
  • Support special food arrangements for events and leadership visits

11. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage service partners for housekeeping, catering, transport, and maintenance
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs
  • Validate invoices, manage budgets, and support cost optimization initiatives
  • Coordinate renewals and compliance documentation from vendors
  • Ensure contract renewals and purchase order issuance on time.
     

What We're Looking For

Role Summary

The Workplace specialist is responsible for end-to-end management of corporate offices and semiconductor R&D lab facilities, ensuring high availability, safety, compliance, and precision-controlled environments. The role blends technical building operations, lab infrastructure management, and workplace services to support critical R&D activities, business growth, and Full-Time-In-Office operations.

This role is critical in ensuring zero disruption to lab operations, maintaining environmental control, and delivering a safe, efficient, and engaging workplace for engineering and other teams. The candidate will need to work with the IFM partner to manage Technical and Lab operations.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in office/facilities and team management
  • Experience as an Office/Facilities Manager with a portfolio management of greater than 150000 Sqft / 400 Employees.
  • Experience in managing Space planning for employee headcount greater than 400nos.
  • Experience in Semiconductor lab operations.
  • Experience in digital technologies for facilities management services.
  • Experience is driving Continual improvement programs for facilities management services.
