Job Description

Job Title:-      Workshop Manger

Location:        RAM              

Experience :    12~14(Working with HZL mines)

Industry:  UG Mining/Construction equipment

Objective of the Role

Customer of, Breakdown Workshop management & manpower handling

Job Responsibility / KRA

1. Overall Workshop Management

• Ensure smooth functioning of the workshop on a 24×7 basis &Plan and monitor daily maintenance, breakdown, and repair activities & maintain high equipment availability and reliability.

2. Maintenance & Breakdown Control

• Ensure timely preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance, Lead breakdown analysis and implement root cause corrective actions (RCA) & Minimize machine downtime and improve productivity.

3. Manpower Planning & Shift Management

• Manage and deploy manpower effectively across all shifts, Ensure proper shift handover and communication between teams & Monitor attendance, discipline, and team performance.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and SOPs (especially UG safety), Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments &Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

5. Inventory & Spare Parts Management

• Monitor spare parts availability and consumption, Coordinate with stores and procurement for critical parts & Avoid machine downtime due to non-availability of spares.

6. Coordination with Operations Team

• Work closely with mining/production teams to meet targets. , Plan machine availability as per production requirements. & Attend daily coordination meetings.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain proper records of, Breakdown reports, Maintenance logs, Machine history

8. Equipment Reliability Improvement

• Implement reliability improvement initiatives.
• Track KPIs like: Availability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) & Support midlife and overhaul planning.

11. Cost Control

• Monitor maintenance cost and optimize resources, reduce unnecessary expenses and improve efficiency.

12. Emergency Handling

Take quick decisions during breakdowns or critical failures &Ensure immediate response and recovery in emergency situations.

Additional Responsibility in 24×7 Project

• Ensure round-the-clock supervision and escalation system, maintain backup planning for manpower and machines & be available for critical decision-making at any time.

Abilities - Plan and organize tasks effectively, proactive planning, good presentation Skills & Customer Handling  

Relevant Work Experience- Team leading, Working on manager post & LTS manpower handling

Special Working Conditions: - 24*7 CPH contract, Site Based posting & remote location
