The Opportunity:

The Wealth & Premier Solutions Retail Delivery Lead role in International Welath & Premier Banking team  is responsible for overseeing the engineering delivery function with a focus on meeting day-to-day business demands and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. 

This role holder will drive engineering delivery, coupled with the ability to balance immediate business needs with long-term strategic objectives, supporting various sub-value streams in International Wealth & Premier Banking.

In this role you will:

• Provide strategic technical leadership across engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.


• Lead the development and implementation of engineering standards, best practices, and methodologies across teams.


• Drive the use of the DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and Time to Restore Service) to measure and enhance engineering performance and delivery efficiency.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to adopt new technologies and methodologies to optimize processes.


• Implement cost-efficiency strategies to reduce Run-the-Bank (RTB) costs while maintaining high service quality and performance.


• Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and drive system improvements.


• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards in all engineering practices.


• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate technical strategies and project progress effectively.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Over 18 years of relevant experience in driving engineering excellence & in delivering global technology & complex software systems and best-in-class solutions.


• Demonstrable experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams through technological transformations.


• Hands-on expertise with full-stack engineering, including front-end, middleware, and backend technologies.


• Should have worked in Agile environments with a focus on continuous delivery and integration.


• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate engineering teams.


• Experience in implementing cost-efficiency measures and reducing run the bank costs in a technology environment
