Role Overview

At Masai, we are looking for a YouTube Growth & Category Manager to own and scale our YouTube business end-to-end. This role goes beyond content creation—you will be responsible for building a content-to-growth and revenue engine, driving audience growth, paid conversions, monetization, and overall business performance.

You will work at the intersection of content, growth, product, marketing, and business, using audience insights and data to create scalable strategies that translate into measurable revenue and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  Own the end-to-end YouTube business, from views and subscribers to conversions, revenue, and P&L.

  Build and optimize content-to-conversion funnels to drive qualified leads and paid user growth.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop content strategies aligned with audience needs, market trends, and Masai's business goals.

  
  


• 
  

  Drive revenue growth and continuously improve ROI on content investments.

  
  


• 
  

  Own and improve key YouTube metrics including CTR, watch time, retention, engagement, subscriber growth, and conversions.

  
  


• 
  

  Lead experimentation across thumbnails, hooks, formats, topics, CTAs, publishing cadence, and content distribution.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with educators, creators, and content teams to improve content quality, audience engagement, and conversion.

  
  


• 
  

  Build distribution channels across communities, partnerships, social platforms, and external ecosystems to maximize content reach.

  
  


• 
  

  Leverage YouTube and business analytics to identify growth opportunities, audience segments, and monetization levers.

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Business teams to align YouTube initiatives with broader go-to-market and revenue objectives.

  Track business performance and present growth insights, revenue impact, ROI, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

  Build scalable processes and operating mechanisms to continuously grow Masai's YouTube business.

  
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  

  5–8 years of experience in YouTube growth, content-led growth, digital business, growth marketing, or a similar role.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven experience in scaling YouTube channels or content businesses with measurable impact on growth, revenue, or conversions.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of YouTube growth drivers including CTR, retention, watch time, engagement, subscriber growth, and recommendation algorithms.

  Hands-on experience building or optimizing conversion funnels and monetization strategies.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong business ownership mindset with experience managing growth, revenue, ROI, or P&L-oriented metrics.

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  Experience working with or managing creators, educators, content teams, or cross-functional stakeholders.
