Job Description - Zonal Sales Manager- West

Location :- East India (West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, and North East) Industry :- Pharmaceutical Company Post :- Zonal Sales Maanger- East Gender :- Male Candidate Experiance :- Above 10 yrs Reporting Heirarchy :- NSM (National Sales Manager) Industry Preference :- Oncology Key Roles & Responsibilities:- 1. Sales Leadership: a) Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives across the territory. b) Develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market penetration. c) Monitor sales performance, analyse sales data, and identify opportunities for improvement. 2. Relationship Building: a) Establish and nurture strong relationships with Key Business Leaders and Key Opinion Leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. b) Represent the company and promote our products effectively to key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, and clinics. 3. Team Motivation and Development: a) Motivate, coach, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and team targets. b) Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and performance. c) Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team. 4. Institutional Sales: a) Drive institutional sales by identifying and targeting key accounts, including hospitals, healthcare facilities, and government institutions. b) Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to meet the unique needs and requirements of institutional customers. c) Negotiate contracts and agreements with institutional clients to secure business partnerships and maximize sales opportunities. 5. Brand Launch and Promotion: a) Lead the launch of new brands in the oncology segment, including planning and execution of promotional activities. b) Collaborate with Marketing and Medical Affairs teams to develop effective marketing strategies and promotional materials. c) Ensure brand positioning and influence in the market through strategic promotional activities. 6. Team Development: a) Recruit, on-board, and train new sales team members as needed to support business growth. b) Develop succession plans and talent pipelines to ensure continuity and scalability of the sales team. c) Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team. Qualifications: B.Pharm, M.Pharm degree or equivalent qualification in pharmaceutical sales or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in Oncology Division. Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets in the pharmaceutical industry (Oncology Division). Excellent understanding of the region, doctors, chemists, Institutional influencers etc. and had good relation with them. Exceptional understanding of sales and marketing principles within the oncology domain, coupled with the ability to develop and execute highly effective integrated strategies. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
