Job Description: Network Security Engineer (Zscaler Specialist)Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with a strong focus on Zscaler technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing our secure cloud transformation and network security infrastructure.

This is a Hybrid role. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to one of our office hubs.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Zscaler Management: Handle the deployment, configuration, policy administration, and troubleshooting of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).

  
  


• 
  

  Traffic Redirection & Engineering: Manage and maintain Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC) deployments, PAC files, and traffic redirection methods (GRE/IPSec tunnels).

  
  


• 
  

  Security Policy Administration: Configure and monitor URL filtering, SSL inspection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) policies.

  
  


• 
  

  Network Security Operations: Support traditional network security controls including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and secure web gateways.

  
  


• 
  

  Operations & Troubleshooting: Serve as the escalation point for complex network security issues, utilizing packet capture tools (Wireshark) to diagnose connectivity and performance anomalies.

  
  


• 
  

  Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the infrastructure and network teams to ensure smooth integration of Zscaler with SD-WAN and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).

  
  

Required Skills & QualificationsZscaler Expertise (Mandatory)

• 
  

  2–3 years of direct experience with ZIA (Cloud Firewall, Sandbox, Native SSL decryption).

  
  


• 
  

  2–3 years of direct experience with ZPA (App Connectors, Access Policies, User Portals).

  
  


• 
  

  Proven experience troubleshooting Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC) issues on Windows, macOS, or Linux.

  
  

Core Network Security & Networking

• 
  

  Production experience with at least one major firewall platform (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).

  
  


• 
  

  Solid understanding of core routing and switching concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN).

  
  


• 
  

  Good grasp of standard authentication protocols (SAML, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta) as they integrate with Zscaler.

  
  

Logistical Requirements

• 
  

  Must be available to join immediately or within a 30-day notice period.

  
  

Preferred Certifications

• 
  

  Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA) or Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP).

  
  


• 
  

  Certification in firewall technologies (e.g., PCNSE, NSE 4).

  
  


• 
  

  CCNA/CCNP Security.
