Your responsibilities

• Be part of the team responsible for the cross-company "Data Supply Chain" in the Otto Group to ensure the data supply of novel, data-driven business models.
• Help in significantly improving the usability and impact of our data platform for real-time and batch processing within the group - with your expertise!
• Participate in designing and implementing of our new, high-performance and robust BI platform in the Google Cloud for big, fast & smart data.
• In addition to processing and preparing data throughout its entire lifecycle within data pipelines, including data stream processing. Additionally, develop tools and frameworks to optimize the use of the new BI platform.
• Contribute to establishing a foundation for all BI applications, which includes building a uniform understanding of data throughout the data processing stages and meeting all regulatory requirements to achieve true Self-Service BI.

Your qualifications

• You are passionate about managing large data sets and building high-performance processing systems.
• You have hands-on experience in implementing BI solutions, covering the entire process of managing data sources to generating reports, including process and data analysis knowledge.
• You possess very good SQL knowledge and development skills.
• Experienced with Google Cloud services and cloud tools (e.g., Terraform, Google Dataflow).
• Proficient in relational databases (like BigQuery), data warehousing, and modeling (DataVault knowledge beneficial).
• You practice clean code principles, TDD, and understand devops principles such as observability, CI /CD etc.
