Job Description - Key Account Sales Manager

The Company is an international group with headquarter in Europe recognized as one of the leading companies in the professional building paints and varnishes and a benchmark company for the world of high-quality decoration.

The Group is increasingly targeting international markets with specific products, strategic partnerships, and an expanding network of collaborators: through specialised distributors, the Group is present in more than 100 countries worldwide.

To support the growth of in the current market, we are currently looking for energetic and motivated candidate who shall be in charge of supporting the sales team of the local distributor providing commercial and technical advise. The candidates shall interact with the sales team and key clients to promote the products of the company by providing the required technical support.

Role Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee vertical commercial operations, gaining insight from sales activities to understand store dynamics and drive sellout. The candidate will be operating under direct coordination of the Global Head of Sales and will be in charge of supervising the activities of the Sales team, providing technical advise and commercial support. The candidate will be responsible for collecting market feedbacks and providing all the required information for the development of the optimal marketing strategy. The role involves facilitating the relationship between the Company and the exclusive Distributor with specific regard to R&D and Technical Assistance to sales.

Key Activities:

· Establish a strong commercial presence by maintaining constant contact with retailers, especially focusing on educating them about the company products to boost sales.

· Act as a "consultant" to the Distributor, employing tools and knowledge to support their sales efforts.

· Travel with the Distributor to retailers ideally two weeks per month, promoting the company products.

· Maintain weekly contact with the head office regarding R&D while spending the rest of the week in developing commercial relations.

· Serve as a key link between the Distributor and retailers, with a focus on pre and post-sales activities.

· Analysing Sales data and providing the Head Office with punctual reports and feedbacks from the market. Understanding market requirements and consumer behavioural patterns.

· Understanding market dynamics with particular regard to technical requirements of the product, providing insights on the actual as well as potential application.

· Understanding the market segmentation and proving solution to develop commercial initiative based on the different targets.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree, preferably MBA or Master in Marketing.

· Fluent in English and Hindi.

· 8 -10 years of experience in a similar role.

· Willingness to work near Mumbai and travel extensively across India.

· Experience in the paints and coatings sector is preferred, but other building materials sectors are acceptable.

· Familiarity with high-volume sales products and ability to engage with store-based stakeholders effectively.

· Potential for growth and readiness to take on additional responsibilities as the market expands into new territories.
