Job Title: Sales Officer - Natch Snacks Department: Retail Sales
Reports to: Head of Retail Sales
Location: Bangalore Job Summary: As a Sales Officer at Natch Snacks, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth through effective management of the retail sales channel. Reporting to the Head of Retail Sales, you will be responsible for daily store visits to General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) shops, leveraging your distributor and market knowledge to expand and enhance the company's business. Key Responsibilities: 1. Daily Store Visits:
- Conduct regular visits to GT and MT shops to ensure product visibility, availability, and compliance with brand standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners and staff to drive sales and enhance brand loyalty.
2. Distributor Management:
- Collaborate closely with distributors to ensure efficient distribution and timely delivery of products.
- Monitor distributor performance, address issues promptly, and provide necessary support to meet sales targets.
3. Market Knowledge:
- Stay updated on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Utilize market insights to identify new business opportunities and implement strategies for market penetration.
4. Business Expansion:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for opening new business accounts in the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement plans to expand existing business relationships, driving sales growth.
5. Sales Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Head of Retail Sales, highlighting achievements, challenges, and action plans.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed recommendations for improvement.
6. Training and Development:
- Conduct product training sessions for store staff to enhance product knowledge and ensure effective merchandising.
- Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices and contribute to a high-performing sales culture.
7. Compliance and Brand Standards:
- Ensure that all stores adhere to company policies, product displays, and branding standards.
- Monitor and report any instances of non-compliance to maintain the brand's image. Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of distributor operations and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Result-oriented with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with the snack food industry is a plus.
