Role summary: Our client company - that exports garments abroad is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Fashion Designer. As the Sr Fashion Designer you will lead the design process, from conceptualization to final product, ensuring designed collections meet the highest standards of quality and style & design philosophy of the company. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams to interpret market trends, develop captivating designs, and contribute to the success of your work. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, artistic flair, and strong project management skills.

Key Skills Needed:

• Skilled in Trend Research / Fashion Sketches (digital design)/ Technical Design Packages / Color Palette Detailing / Line Sheets & Story Boards / Basic knowledge of Graphics & prints
• Previous knowledge making Technical Sheets / Flat Sketches as per direction
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, other design softwares as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Create fashionable clothing lines that align with business strategies.
• Responsible for researching trends, creating design concepts, sketching designs, selecting fabrics and trims, and overseeing the production process.
• Collaborate with teams to bring their designs to life and ensure they align with the business strategy and current market trends. Ultimately, produce visually appealing and innovative fashion design based products.
• Conduct thorough trend research to anticipate market demands and create appealing designs aligned with international fashion trends.
• Develop comprehensive technical design packages including sketches, color palettes, and specifications for production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and production feasibility.
• Oversee the sampling and prototyping process, ensuring accurate interpretation of design concepts.
• Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and technologies to enhance design innovation and efficiency.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and delivering high-quality designs that exceed client expectations.
• Effectively communicate design concepts and modifications to internal stakeholders and external clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field; additional certification in garment technology is advantageous.
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in Fashion Design (Western clothing design experience a must have) preferably within garment export or manufacturing industry.
• Overseeing the research and development of new styles for the organization
• Managing the design process from conception through to final styling.
• Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line, and create new concepts.
• Should be capable of being an Individual contributor / Independent worker who produces consistent, high-quality designs.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and production processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and market demands.
