CRISIL - Associate Director - Cloud Data Warehousing

Job Summary:The Cloud Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based data warehousing solutions for our customers. They will lead a team of engineers in developing scalable, efficient, and secure data warehouses to support the customer's data analytics and business intelligence needs. Responsibilities:1. Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data warehousing solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the data warehouse.3. Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership.4. Implement best practices for data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data governance within the data warehouse.5. Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the warehouse.6. Ensure data quality and integrity within the warehouse through data validation, cleansing, and error handling processes.7. Monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.8. Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data stored in the warehouse, including access controls and encryption.9. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in cloud data warehousing, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.10. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage resources to ensure timely delivery of solutions within budget and scope. Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.2. Proven experience (7+ years) designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data warehousing solutions, preferably using platforms such as AWS Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.3. Strong understanding of data modeling principles and experience with data modeling tools.4. Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools and processes.5. Experience managing a team of engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.7. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.8. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect or Microsoft Cloud Architect are a plus. (ref:hirist.tech)
