Data Modeling Specialist

The Role :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeling Specialist to join our growing team! You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and utilization for various business needs.Responsibilities :Data Modeling Expertise : - Possess 5+ years of experience in data modeling, demonstrating proficiency in the entire data modeling lifecycle (conceptual, logical, physical).- Analyze and translate complex business requirements into well-defined and optimized data models.- Design, develop, and configure data models for various database technologies (relational, NoSQL, etc.)- Utilize PL/SQL coding skills for data manipulation, transformation, and performance tuning.Data Management and Governance :- Implement data cleaning strategies to ensure data integrity and accuracy.- Perform regular database health checks and optimize database performance for efficient data retrieval.- Manage data governance processes to maintain data quality and consistency across the organization.Collaboration and Communication :- Work collaboratively with business analysts, application developers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.- Clearly communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Participate in the design and development of data flows to support data movement and transformations.Technical Skills :- In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern data stores (data warehouses, data lakes, data marts), along with various database technologies.- Expertise in query performance optimization techniques and writing complex join queries.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data-related issues effectively.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling and database design.- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation and performance tuning.- Experience with various database technologies (relational, NoSQL) and data modeling tools.- Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
