TThe person appointed will be an integral member of the Architecture Team and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports the current and future business needs. The role will involve collaborating with Business and IT stakeholders at all levels to ensure the enterprise data strategy and associated implementation is adding value to the business.

This role requires a deep understanding of data modelling, database design, data warehousing, data analytics, data integration and data products, as well as a proven track record of successfully leading complex data architecture initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Integration, Data Catalog and Governance, Cloud experience (Azure), experience on Spark, Kafka
• Develop and drive the overall data solution architecture strategy in alignment with the organization's business objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into comprehensive and scalable data solutions.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data solution architecture roadmap, considering both short-term goals and long-term vision.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that align with the organization's evolving data needs.
• Oversee the design and implementation of robust data models that meet the organization's current and future requirements.
• Design and implement robust data models that support both transactional and analytical requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across various databases and data sources.
• Ensure data models adhere to industry best practices and standards.
• Oversee the integration of data from various sources, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow.
• Implement data integration solutions that support real-time and batch processing requirements.
• Establish and enforce data management policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to data management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the data architecture team.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Architect) preferred.
• of 8 years of experience in solution architecture roles, with a focus on designing and delivering Azure-based solutions.
• experience in developing and implementing large-scale data warehouses, Business Intelligence and MDM solutions, including Data Lakes/Data Hubs.
• experience with productionizing cloud data solutions with administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning.
• experience of design and implementation of data warehousing solutions on cloud platforms - specifically data ingestion, integration and transformation; reporting applications; custom analytics; data migration from on-prem to cloud infrastructure; cloud storage architecture.
