Join our dynamic engineering team as a Test Engineering Intern, where you'll work closely with experienced professionals to support the electrical and hardware design efforts for MKS VSD and IPM ATE projects. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in test automation, validation processes, and lab operations within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
• Assist Engineers to develop and maintain Test stand PID, Electrical Interconnect diagrams, Test stand Wire Run lists, review Test stand BOM & report part obsolescence
• Support lab-related tasks to perform validation runs, collect test results, and prepare detailed Test reports.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and share & Learn events
Skills you bring
• Able to review Test stand electrical schematics & prepare detailed Interconnect diagram & WRL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with lab measurement instruments such as Digital Multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, and Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems.
• Solid foundational engineering knowledge.
Preferred skills
Programming experience (LabVIEW, C, Python)
Solidworks
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Ability to sit, stand, and type for extended periods.
Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs (13 kg).
Requires good manual dexterity and coordination for handling equipment and components.
Must be able to clearly communicate and exchange information.
Work is conducted in a professional office and/or lab/manufacturing setting.
Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
Visual acuity for close-range tasks.
Commitment to safety, especially when working with mechanical/electrical hardware, high voltage, gases, water, and heat.
Typical noise levels for lab and office environments.
