This is a hands -on internship opportunity for college students to work on cutting -edge STEM DIY hardware kits, with a focus on PCB designing, embedded firmware development, sensor integration, and IoT -based systems.
This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about electronics, PCB design, embedded systems, and bringing innovation to education through hands -on STEM learning.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test PCBs for innovative STEM and IoT -based projects.
Create and optimize schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using tools such as Fusion 360, Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar software.
Program and debug microcontroller -based systems including Arduino, ESP32/ESP8266, STM, and related platforms.
Integrate sensors, actuators, communication modules, and hardware components for real -world applications.
Collaborate with the team to develop engaging STEM DIY learning kits, hands -on models, and project tutorials.
Assist in hardware debugging, circuit testing, prototyping, and technical documentation.
Support 3D design and enclosure development for electronic projects and operate 3D printers for prototyping.
Participate in brainstorming and innovation sessions to enhance product features and educational value.
Key Skills Required
Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Fusion 360, Altium, KiCad, or similar.
Strong understanding of microcontrollers including Arduino, ESP, STM, and related platforms.
Familiarity with communication protocols: I2C, UART, SPI.
Experience with Embedded C / C++ programming.
Understanding of circuit design, sensor integration, and basic hardware testing.
Basic knowledge of 3D designing tools and 3D printer operation is a plus.
Analytical mindset with strong problem -solving and debugging skills.
Passion for STEM education, innovation, and DIY learning.
