PhD Intern – Aero/Thermal-Computational Aerodynamics
Job Description Summary
As a PhD Intern – you will collaboratively execute applied research in computational aerodynamics for GE Aerospace commercial engine programs and technology demonstration programs such as RISE (Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engines). You will be a key member of a team of technologists and engineers at GE Aerospace Research collaborating with the GE Aerospace business teams to deliver on our commitment to sustainability, safety and quality for our customers while advancing aerospace and defense for future generations.
This is a paid internship and is typically structured for a 3-month period or upon completion of PhD thesis defense whichever is earlier. It may be extended or converted to a full-time employment based on performance, mutual interests, and business/program needs/funding.

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing
