Description:

As we are scaling towards adding global customers, we need a sharp, meticulous finance professional who wants to grow at a space startup. We are looking for a Finance Intern to assist with payments, books of accounts, and clean-up of historical financial records. This role sits at the intersection of bookkeeping, compliance, and financial planning. This is 
a 6-month internship, perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience as a foundation for a broader startup finance career. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and automate tools for vendor invoices, 
employee reimbursements, and contractor payments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure clean GL entries.
• Clean up historical books of accounts – rectify misclassified entries, clear 
unreconciled items, and bring ledgers up to date in Zoho Books. 
• Prepare documentation for GST, TDS, ROC, RBI (FLA filing) in India.
• Keep compliance calendar updated and track deadlines.
• Organize statutory registers, board resolutions, and meeting minutes.
 

Candidate Profile:

- Mandatory:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/commerce (BCom/ BFM/ BAF/ Semi 
qualified CA).
• Basic knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and Audit.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Understanding of GST, TDS, basic corporate compliance.
• Meticulous approach to everything, never misses a number.
• Interest in the space sector and data-as-a-service (DaaS) business models. 

- Good-to-haves:
• Experience with cross-border compliance (US/India entities).
• Working knowledge of accounting software (Zoho Books). 
• Hands-on experience with payment processing and passing journal entries.
