Job Description - Intern - Sales and Marketing


Location: Bangalore (Combination of Office & Field based Work)

Duration: 6 months (Start date: Immediate)

• Udhyam Shiksha works on developing entrepreneurial mindsets among the youth and enabling them to achieve their potential, having impacted ~16,00,000 learners across 10 Indian states.

• Udhyam Vyapaar focuses on nano businesses in India, and solving large problems faced by them, at scale; having already enabled upto a 27% income uplift for 5000+ entrepreneurs.



Position Overview:

At Udhyam Vyapaar, we believe that when nano-entrepreneurs thrive, local economies flourish. As a Marketing Intern, you will play a vital role in enabling the growth and success of these small-scale entrepreneurs by strengthening their access to markets and driving visibility for their products.


You will support in understanding market trends, identifying opportunities, building connections with buyers and event partners, and ensuring that nano-entrepreneurs are equipped to showcase and sell their products effectively. This role is ideal for someone passionate about grassroots entrepreneurship, has a keen eye for market dynamics, and is eager to create meaningful impact on the ground.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build market understanding to support nano-entrepreneurs in sourcing the right raw materials at the right price. 

  • Identify market opportunities for the products made by nano-entrepreneurs.

  • Build / Strengthen market connect by mapping relevant sales channels and identifying potential collaborations including social media opportunities

  • Assist in planning and managing events and sales across urban and rural settings.

  • Stay updated on market trends, fairs, exhibitions, and actively participate in such opportunities .

  • Work closely with entrepreneurs to understand challenges and co-create solutions.

  • Use internal tools and processes efficiently to drive results.


 Who You Are:

  • A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • A fast learner, eager to pick up new tools, systems, and on-ground realities.

  • Committed to ethical and responsible marketing and sales practices.

  • Strong communicator with an understanding of grassroots challenges.

  • Proficiency in Kannada and/or Tamil is a strong advantage.
