Job Description - Internal Communications Manager


About the team & role:


This role will be part of Rubrik’s Marketing Team, and partner closely with the Director of Internal Communications to support key stakeholders across the company. We’re looking for an Internal Communications Manager to help craft and deliver impactful company-wide communications that keep our team informed and engaged. You’re an ideal candidate if you’re a phenomenal writer, passionate about creating an amazing employee experience, and want to make a real impact with new ideas and technology.


What you'll do:



  • Draft and edit engaging internal communications, including emails, slack posts, intranet content, video scripts, and more. 

  • Advise stakeholders across the business on internal communications strategy, including: channel, timing, voice, and corporate messaging. 

  • Help employees understand the unique value of working at Rubrik, and reinforce our mission, culture, and values through internal comms. 

  • Project manage our internal communications intake process/calendar, and distribution of internal comms.

  • Oversee our intranet from the internal communications perspective; ongoing maintenance of the intranet homepage (internal newsroom), driving traffic to the site, and building out creative new ways to reach our team with this new platform. 

  • Manage our monthly all-company newsletter, giving Rubrikans a simple and easy way to access the most important information in one place; review analytics and make recommendations to improve its usefulness to our team. 

  • Partner with key business units, including the stakeholders in the India office, to deliver impactful company-wide communications that keep employees informed and engaged.

  • In partnership with the Internal Communications Director, explore new ways to engage our Rubrik team through internal comms best practices, storytelling, and new tools.


Experience you'll need:



  • Advanced knowledge of internal communications strategies, change management, and employee engagement practices.

  • Ability to manage complex communication assignments, provide strategic solutions to improve internal challenges.

  • Ability to cultivate robust professional relationships to enhance communication effectiveness. Interface with various teams and stakeholders. 

  • Bachelor’s degree; around 5-8 years of comprehensive experience in internal communications, with a proven track record in managing strategic communications plans.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on creating employee-centric, engaging content including: emails, slack posts, video scripts, talking points, etc. 

  • Project management skills with superb attention to detail.

  • Experience working at a PR agency and/or a high-growth, global company.
