Prototype Engineer Intern

• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to assist in the development of UAV/drone prototypes.
  

• Convert design concepts into working models using rapid prototyping techniques.
  

• Utilize 3D printing, CNC machining, and other additive manufacturing tools to create functional components.
  

• Ensure components meet design specifications and quality standards.
  

• Participate in prototype testing, including structural tests, functional tests, and flight trials.
  

• Record test data and provide feedback for iterative design improvements.
  

• Assist in the assembly of mechanical and electronic components of UAVs/drones.
  

• Ensure proper integration of avionics, motors, sensors, and other subsystems.
  

• Prepare detailed reports of prototype development and test results.
  

• Maintain records of design changes, material selections, and manufacturing processes.
  

• Work with the QA team to inspect prototypes for defects, ensuring each product meets quality and performance criteria.
  

• Support communication between the design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure smooth prototype development cycles.
  

• Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing or assembly issues.
  

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  

• Basic understanding of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  

• Familiarity with additive manufacturing techniques (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.).
  

• Hands-on experience with basic tools, assembly techniques, and prototyping processes.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  

• Interest in UAV/drone technology and aerospace design.
  

• Experience with UAV or drone development (academic projects, personal projects, or prior internships).
  

• Familiarity with electronics, sensors, and flight control systems.
  

• Knowledge of rapid prototyping tools and techniques.
