Job Title: Quality Analyst Trainee

About the Role

We are looking for a detail -oriented and confident Quality Analyst Trainee to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a logical mindset, and strong communication skills who is eager to build a career in quality assurance and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business/functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases
  
• Perform manual testing of applications/websites/software to identify bugs and inconsistencies
  
• Log, track, and report defects clearly using bug -tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and verify fixes
  
• Participate in daily stand -ups, sprint planning, and review meetings
  
• Prepare and maintain test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports)
  
• Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality
  
• Continuously learn testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices
  

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  
• Knowledge of manual testing concepts (test case design, bug life cycle, types of testing)
  
• Familiarity with bug -tracking/test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar) is a plus
  
• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation
  
• Exposure to automation testing concepts (Selenium, or similar) is an added advantage
  
• Strong analytical and problem -solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to clearly document and explain defects, test results, and issues to technical and non -technical stakeholders
  
• High confidence in raising concerns, asking clarifying questions, and participating in team discussions

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech/B.E/BCA/MCA/B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  

Good to Have

• Certification in software testing (ISTQB Foundation Level or similar)
  
• Personal projects or academic exposure to testing tools
  
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Java) for automation exposure
  
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
