About the Role
We are seeking a detail -oriented and hands -on hustler to join our prototyping and assembly team. In this role, you will support the development of electronic prototypes by performing precise soldering tasks, wiring assemblies, and following technical diagrams. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates in electronics, electrical engineering, or related fields to gain practical experience in hardware assembly and gain exposure to real -world product development. You'll work closely with engineers in a collaborative environment, contributing to innovative projects from concept to prototype.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform high -quality soldering tasks, including:
* Wire -to -connector soldering for reliable electrical connections.
* Wire -to -PCB (Printed Circuit Board) soldering to integrate wiring harnesses.
* Connector -to -PCB soldering to ensure secure and durable interfaces.
* Occasional soldering of electronic components directly onto PCBs, such as resistors, capacitors, or ICs.
* Apply insulation materials (e.g., heat shrink tubing, electrical tape) to protect soldered joints and wiring from environmental factors.
* Interpret and execute wiring diagrams to assemble electronic systems, routing cables and connectors accurately.
* Assist in prototyping workflows, including testing assembled units for functionality and troubleshooting basic issues under supervision.
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to safety protocols for soldering equipment and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) prevention.
* Document assembly processes, noting any deviations or improvements for future iterations.
Requirements
* Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor/ITI/Diploma program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
* Basic knowledge of soldering techniques and tools (e.g., soldering iron, flux, desoldering pump); hands -on experience from coursework, personal projects, or hobbies is a plus.
* Familiarity with reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
* Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem -solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team, with eagerness to learn.
* Proficiency in basic computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) for documentation.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with multi meters or basic electronics testing.
* Understanding of PCB assembly standards (e.g., IPC guidelines).
* Interest in prototyping tools like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
Benefits
* Hands -on mentorship from experienced engineers.
* Opportunity to contribute to cutting -edge projects and build a portfolio.
* Access to professional tools and workspace.
* Potential for extension or full -time opportunities based on performance.
